The Ice House is an Austin style beer garden and restaurant, located in the heart of uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail.
A fifty foot long bar boasts fifty beers on tap, ranging from Texas Domestics to Regional and International Imports on the draw. We have been awarded the best patio in Dallas with our open
seating communal beer garden.

The day Katy Ice House opened its doors in 2011 with a simple philosophy —Sell ICE COLD BEER! We knew that to accompany our frosty schooners we would need to serve outstanding TEXAS BBQ. Slow smoked fresh daily and never carried from day-to-day, our pit-masters work endlessly to bring to our customers’ tables the best BBQ in Texas in the old Central Texas style using only aged post oak wood. At first starting on a homemade smoker, our quest for great BBQ led us to world class pit builder and international BBQ judge, David Klose. In 2013, our pit-masters began working with Mr. Klose in order to really perfect our BBQ and our original pit was replaced with a custom Klose designed smoker… affectionately referred as “The Beast.” Today you will find our pit-masters utilizing all they have learned to make some of the best BBQ around.

The Ice House has over 50 beers on tap. We have a wide range of craft Texas beers, Mexican beers, which we call Texas beers anyway, and one ‘foreign’ beer – "Guinness.”
All of the food on the menu, with the exception of the bread, is made from scratch. Thurs-Sun, The Ice House serves up Texas BBQ which goes fast, so get here early to ensure you get some!
Bright, crisp afternoons are begging to be spent on the patio of the Katy Trail Ice House. On a sunny Saturday, throw on some shades and wander over to this casual, Austin-style joint.
The Katy Trail is a privately-maintained public park that extends 3.5 miles from SMU at its north end to the American Airlines Center in the south. Katy Trail Ice House is a restaurant located on the trail where people of all ages, genders, and types gather to drink cold beer, eat good food, and play a few games.
